Shire Hill is quarried in Derbyshire and is a medium grained hard stone, buff to grey in colour with some clay holes present.
Acknowledged as being a very durable building and paving stone it has been used extensively in many towns and cities throughout the UK.

- Private residence, Midlands
There are large reserves with long term planning consent.
